L’Embarqué – French Nestwave’s software geolocation technology is installed in a Trasna NB-IoT chip

The young French company Nestwave , which has developed a geolocation technology which avoids the use of a positioning circuit by GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) satellites and which relies on the resources of the cellular communication chips traditionally present in connected objects, announces the integration of its IP into a secure communication circuit for long-range, low-power radio networks (LPWAN) from the Munich firm Trasna Solutions.

France-based Nestwave announced that the company’s technology is being integrated into a new all-in-one ultra-efficient narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) chipset from IoT secure hardware and software specialist Trasna Solutions. Developed by Trasna, the Safe-IoT Chipset will offer a fully integrated NB-IoT platform for low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs) embedding RISC-V cores for application, security and radio and enabling iSIM and Nestwave GNSS, the company said.
